Fine Lines & Wrinkles

Fine lines and wrinkles develop from a combination of repeated facial expression, collagen loss, sun exposure, and skin dehydration — usually appearing first across the forehead, between the brows, and around the eyes.

What it is

Fine lines and wrinkles develop from a combination of repeated facial expression, collagen loss, sun exposure, and skin dehydration — usually appearing first across the forehead, between the brows, and around the eyes.

Common symptoms

  • Forehead lines that stay etched even at rest
  • Frown lines ('11s') between the brows
  • Crow's feet around the eyes
  • Fine lines around the lips
  • Skin that no longer 'bounces back' overnight

What's actually causing it

Collagen and elastin decline after age 25, accelerated by sun exposure, smoking, dehydration, and repeated facial muscle contraction.

What happens if you ignore it

Without intervention, dynamic lines (that appear with expression) gradually become static lines etched into the skin year-round. Skin laxity worsens as collagen continues to break down. Treatment becomes more complex and produces less dramatic results when patients wait until lines are deeply set — early, conservative care is dramatically more effective than late correction.

What recovery looks like

Most patients are 'social-ready' the same day with Botox and fillers; microneedling has 24–72 hours of mild redness.
