What it is
Recurrent headaches and migraines are debilitating — and far more often driven by upper-cervical joint dysfunction, muscle tension, and nervous-system overload than most patients realize.
Common symptoms
- Throbbing, one-sided head pain
- Tension or pressure at the base of the skull
- Sensitivity to light, sound, or smells
- Nausea or visual aura before an attack
- Headaches triggered by stress, posture, or weather
What's actually causing it
Cervical joint dysfunction, jaw tension, postural strain, dehydration, hormonal shifts, and sleep disruption all contribute. The medication-only approach rarely addresses these drivers.
What happens if you ignore it
Chronic headache patterns rewire the nervous system, making attacks more frequent and more severe over time. Many patients build up tolerance to over-the-counter painkillers, develop medication-overuse headaches, and slowly lose the ability to fully participate in work and family life. The earlier we interrupt the cycle, the more reversible it is.
What recovery looks like
Most patients see a meaningful reduction in headache frequency and intensity within the first month of care.
