Nerve & Neuropathy Testing
Objective nerve testing measures how much nerve damage has actually occurred — and, just as importantly, how much living nerve tissue remains. This is the foundation of an honest neuropathy therapy plan.
What it is
Objective nerve testing measures how much nerve damage has actually occurred — and, just as importantly, how much living nerve tissue remains. This is the foundation of an honest neuropathy therapy plan.
Common symptoms
- Burning, stabbing, or 'pins and needles' in hands or feet
- Numbness or loss of sensation
- Balance problems
- Suspected diabetic, chemotherapy-induced, or idiopathic neuropathy
- Need for a baseline before starting a neuropathy program
What's actually causing it
Neuropathy comes from many causes — diabetes, chemotherapy, autoimmune disease, deficiencies, and idiopathic small-fiber damage. Testing helps confirm the type and severity.
What happens if you ignore it
Treating neuropathy without testing means guessing. Many patients are told nothing more can be done — when in fact viable nerve tissue remains and recovery is possible. Without an objective baseline, you can't measure progress or set realistic expectations.
What recovery looks like
Once we know what we are working with, we build a structured neuropathy program tailored to your severity — and re-test to confirm progress.
